"We finally got our weather window! Capt. Jordan and Capt. Eric had us hooked up before we even had a full spread out! It was pretty much non stop action all day with multiple species. We had an absolute blast! Great knowledgeable guys, dry, comfortable , capable boat, and we were on the fish! The Captains explained everything very well and were also about conservation and keeping our fishing grounds alive for the future. We're already planning our next trip! Very satisfied customers!" - Len
"Captain Jordan has been very dedicated to satisfy our needs. He took care about equipment and proper conditions to be able to catch fishes by all of us. Nice atmosphere. Good music in background. I must admit that Captain has been working all the time checking everything and preparing fishing rods for us. And at the end he also has cleaned our fishes, so we hope to have a very tasty dinner tonight. Captain Jordan has called me just after finishing reservation to start contact with us and he answered all my questions. It was my first such fishing in Florida. You can feel safe and under good care. I appreciate his hard work and patience to help us catching fishes. The boat is nice and clean. You can hide in shade. Thank you very much Captain Jordan 🙂" - Nelly Justyna
"These guys are awesome! Very professional and they know what they're doing when it comes to fishing!! Will definitely plan another trip with them in the future!!! Had a blast catching sharks with them!!" - Ryan
Snook: These hard-fighting fish are a favorite among local anglers, and for good reason. Snook are known for their explosive strikes and acrobatic jumps, making them an absolute blast to catch. They love to hang around structure like mangroves and docks, so we'll target them with precise casts and lures that mimic their natural prey. The best part? Snook fishing is hot year-round in New Smyrna Beach, but our fall season (September to November) can be particularly epic as they fatten up for winter.
Black Drum: Don't let their ugly mugs fool you – black drum are some of the most fun fish to catch in these waters. These bottom-feeders can grow to massive sizes, with some topping 50 pounds or more. We'll often find them cruising in schools along oyster bars and channel edges. The fight of a big black drum is something you won't soon forget – they use their size and weight to put up a stubborn battle that'll test your arms and your gear. Plus, they're excellent eating if you decide to keep a slot-sized fish for dinner.
Tarpon: Known as the "Silver King," tarpon are the ultimate game fish for many anglers. These prehistoric-looking creatures can reach sizes over 100 pounds in our waters, and their aerial displays are second to none. Hooking a tarpon is exciting, but landing one is a true accomplishment. We typically target them from late spring through early fall, with the peak season being June through August. Whether you're throwing flies or chunking live bait, the heart-pounding action of a tarpon on the line is something every angler should experience.
Sheepshead: Don't let their striped, almost comical appearance fool you – sheepshead are clever fish that provide a unique challenge. Often called "convict fish" due to their black and white stripes, these guys are masters at stealing bait. Their human-like teeth are perfect for crushing crustaceans, which is why we often find them around pilings, jetties, and other structure. Sheepshead fishing requires finesse and patience, but the reward is a tasty fish that's excellent on the grill. They're most abundant during the cooler months, making them a perfect target for our fall and winter trips.
Look, I could go on all day about the fish you might catch, but the truth is, nothing beats getting out there and experiencing it for yourself. Our 4-hour trip is the perfect taste of what New Smyrna Beach inshore fishing has to offer. Whether you're looking to bend a rod, learn some new techniques, or just enjoy a morning on the water with friends and family, we've got you covered. And remember, with our local knowledge and top-notch gear, you're in for some of the best fishing action around. So what are you waiting for? Spots fill up fast, especially during our peak season from September to February. Give us a call or book online today, and let's get you hooked up with some New Smyrna Beach beauties. Trust me, once you fish these waters, you'll be planning your next trip before you even get back to the dock!

Black drum are hefty bottom-dwellers you'll find hanging around oyster beds and mudflats in our local waters. Most weigh between 5-30 pounds, but the big ones can top 90 pounds. Look for them in shallow estuaries and near inlets, often in water less than 6 feet deep. Spring is spawning season when they school up, making them easier to target. Anglers enjoy fishing for black drum because they put up a good fight and the smaller ones under 15 pounds are great eating. The big ones can be tough and not as tasty. When going after black drum, use fresh crab or shrimp for bait. A local trick is to fish the bottom with just enough weight to hold in the current. Listen closely too - these fish make a deep croaking sound you can sometimes hear underwater.
Sheepshead are the convict-striped fish with human-like teeth you'll spot around docks and bridges. Most run 1-8 pounds, but they can reach 20 pounds if you're lucky. Look for them near any barnacle-covered structure - pilings, jetties, reefs. They use those weird chompers to crush crabs and other crustaceans. Winter is actually prime sheepshead season here when other species slow down. Anglers enjoy the challenge of hooking these bait stealers. They're notorious for nibbling without getting caught. The white, flaky meat is delicious too if you don't mind dealing with the tough scales. When targeting sheepshead, use small hooks with fiddler crabs or pieces of shrimp. My secret? Scrape some barnacles off a piling to chum them up. Just be ready to set the hook fast when you feel that telltale nibble!
Snook are a prized catch around New Smyrna Beach. These silvery fish with a distinctive black lateral line typically run 1-2 feet long but can grow up to 4 feet. You'll find them lurking around mangroves, docks, and other structures in the shallows and inlets. Snook are ambush predators, so they like to hide and attack passing bait. Spring through fall is prime snook fishing season when the water warms up. Anglers love targeting snook for their hard-fighting spirit and acrobatic leaps when hooked. They also make for great eating, with a mild, flaky white meat. When fishing for snook, try using live bait like mullet or pilchards and casting right up against structure. Be ready for explosive strikes and have your drag set - these fish can make blistering runs!
Tarpon are the silver kings of inshore fishing. These prehistoric-looking fish can grow over 6 feet long and hit 100+ pounds around here. You'll find them rolling and gulping air in deeper channels, along beaches, and in the inlets. Late spring through summer is prime tarpon season as they migrate along the coast. Anglers come from all over to battle tarpon - they're famous for their spectacular aerial acrobatics when hooked. It's all about the thrill of the fight, as tarpon aren't good eating. To land one of these giants, you need heavy tackle and plenty of stamina. A tip from the locals: when a tarpon jumps, lower your rod tip to keep tension off the line. "Bow to the silver king" as they say. Just remember, these fish are catch-and-release only.
